ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Allison Oesch (who normally answers to Ali)
is the owner and designer of South Bend, Indiana based One of a Kind
Jewelry. The name One of a Kind was chosen not only because each
piece is created individually by Ali’s hand, but also because every design is
a unique expression of her artistic and inspired self. What makes Ali happy?
Seeing her client’s inner beauty shine through by way of the perfect piece.
Always a creative spirit, it was a party held at a local bead shop celebrating
her 13th birthday that awakened this young designer’s innate jewelry making
talent. In 2002, through self-teaching, Ali began designing and selling jewelry
part-time while also holding down a full time job in South Bend. Business grew
steadily each year and with hard work, long hours and the support of family
and friends, in 2006 she had the good fortune of turning her hobby and pas-
sion into a full-time and successful business.
Ali is actively involved in the community participating in local and regional
Art fairs and festivals, and offering jewelry parties in client’s homes and
offices. Her pieces are for sale in several boutiques from Northern Indiana
to Chicago and in her permanent location in South Bend. Always committed
to offering fresh styles to her customers, she has completed coursework
in Metal Fabrication and Wire Wrapping.
For Ali, success lies in the knowledge that she has helped her clients recognize
their own beauty, and that they treasure the pieces that she has made, with
love, as One of a Kind.
